Installation “Chocolate Grinders” presents three “concrete” images of real life in the streets of San Francisco, three phenomenological observations of reality, three diary entries from autumn of 2004. Videos are enclosed in a loop of indifferent circular movement just like Duchamp’s chocolate grinder, a symbol of repetetiveness of predestined physical world and “barrenness of bachelor’s life”.

“Strength….” may be the key word? I asked Chika, she doesn’t have a clue. Something that just leaked from the sub-conscious mind. Lethargic moment – lethargic eye – lethargic subject. A simple “situation trouvé” video, video and sound sampled at the same time.
